Commemorating the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi
Ecole Primaire Saint Joseph, situated in Kigali, Rwanda, recently hosted a commemoration event centered around the national theme 'Remember, Unite, Renew.' The event, held on Friday 10th 2024, was dedicated to educating our students about the tragic history of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.
Leaders and genocide survivors gathered at the school to share their stories, emphasizing the importance of remembrance, unity, and renewal in shaping Rwanda's future. Following the event, participants visited the Nyanza Genocide Memorial Center to deepen their understanding of the atrocities that occurred in Kicukiro District and across the nation.
